Why is accreditation by an internationally recognised Accreditation Body important?

Accreditation is a formal declaration by an independent Accreditation Body, after assessment and confirmation, that the BrightSentinel laboratory is effective in meeting the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 to perform tests according to its accredited scope.

BrightSentinel's accreditation body is NVLAP, a program of the US National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST).
