Update Equipment details


Aim: To ensure the Equipment details are kept up to date.

Access Site Administration


  1. Click on on Administration.
  2. Select Site Administration

Change Equipment details


  1. Select the Site from the site hierarchy.
  2. Click on the Equipment tab.
  3. Click on View next to the Equipment Name that requires updating.

The current details of the Equipment are presented.

  1. Click Edit.
The current details of the Equipment are presented.

  1. Make the required changes:
  2. Equipment Name - Choose a name that is familiar in your environment.
  3. Status - May be changed from "Active" to "Inactive". 
Once an Equipment is made "Active" it cannot be deleted. Instead, it can be made "Inactive".
  1. Equipment Group - Select from the drop-down list. These are the active Equipment Groups set up for this Site.
  2. Make - Optional field. Handy if you want to compare equipment makes.
  3. Model - Optional field. May be required for asset management.
  4. Serial No. - Optional field. May be required for asset management.
  1.  When completed, click Save.
The updated details of the Equipment are presented.


  1. If correct, click the back arrow (orange icon above the blue bar) to go back to Site Administration.


When an Equipment  is made "inactive", the icon is greyed out and the inactive Equipment is listed below the active Equipment.
