Set up a new Site


Aim: Set up Sites where you intend to deploy the BrightSentinel system to reference the location where the activities are occurring.

Once the Master Site is completed, you are ready to set up the operational Sites where all the activities to be monitored are conducted.  

Access Site Administration

  1. Click on Administration.
  2. Select Site Administration.
Only the Account Administrator is authorised to set up and link new Sites to the Master Account. 
Site Administrators are authorised to set up and link Subsidiary Sites to their assigned Site only.



  1. Highlight the active Parent Site to which the Subsidiary Site is linked. 
When you initially create the hierarchy of Sites, the Master Site is the same as a Parent Site.
Subsequently, active Subsidiary Sites may be selected to be the Parent Site of new Sites; thus extending the hierarchy.
  1. Click on New Site.  

Record the New Site Details


  1. Complete the new Site details:
    1. Site Name - Enter the name of the new unique Site name.
    2. Parent Site - As it is the first Site linked to the Parent Site, it is automatically linked. If there are already other Sites activated, a drop-down menu of possible choices is presented for selection. 
    3. Status - The status defaults to "Active" for new sites. 
    4. Address - The address of the new Site.
  1. Click Save.


The new Subsidiary Site is activated and is listed in the site hierarchy under its Parent Site. 
For quick reference, notice that the icon next to the Site name is green when the Site is"active" and grey when it is "inactive".

All done! Next assign Users to the Sites.
