Log in/out of the BrightSentinel mobile app


Aim: To log into the BrightSentinel mobile app.


  1. Tap on  the icon of the BrightSentinel mobile app that you have already installed on your phone.

Grant location permission

The first time you start the BrightSentinel mobile app, you are presented with a notification that location services needs to be enabled. 
The location service is required for Bluetooth to connect and communicate with the AnnoLog loggers.

These are examples of the pop-ups from iOS and Android requesting location service.


If you click Cancel or Don't allow, you will not be able to communicate with the AnnoLog loggers. This message will appear next time you start the app.
  1. If requested, select Precise location, and
  2. Click on While using the app.
This selection ensures that you are not presented with this permission each time you use the BrightSentinel mobile app.
BrightSentinel does not collect your location data. This is a requirement of the phone manufacturer ion order to use the Bluetooth functions.

Finally, you are in the login page!

Log in

  1. Click on Log In.

You are ready to sign in.
The login page is presented.
  1. Enter the email address of your BrightSentinel account.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Click Continue.



... and you are in.

The menu options slide to the left when you make a selection.

Log out


  1. Click on Logout
You are taken back to the Login page.











All done!
